Yes, you can use the Primkote over the LiquidWood. You may need to scuff the surface of the LiquidWood so the it adheres well. (As a side note, LiquidWood should only be applied to rotted, soft, spongy wood. If you apply it to solid wood, it will remain on the surface and remain tacky.)

  2. Can I use ben moore long oil primer on filled spots that have abatron? I see on their notes it says "exception: linseed, oil based paints may not adhere well". I can't find anything on the spec sheet for long oil if it has linseed oil in it. Thank you

You should wait at least 1 hour or no longer than 4 days to apply a top coat over the Primkote 8006-1.

  6. I am refinishing/repainting outdoor wooden steps. If the wood contains intact paint in areas (some paint has chipped away) can I use liquid wood and Woodepox on top? ie. will the liquid wood penetrate the paint? Or would you recommend Primkote on the bare wood areas instead if the wood is solid except for the weathered surface ?

LiquidWood will not penetrate through paint but can be used as a primer to the WoodEpox.

Primkote has almost an indefinite shelf life as long as it's stored properly. It's an epoxy based primer.
