KRACK KOTE®

Banish Cracks Forever!

Make invisible, permanent repairs to cracked walls and ceilings in under an hour. No sanding required. Once the second coat dries, it is ready to paint! No primer needed.

The specially formulated acrylic emulsion is used with a polyester mesh to bridge over cracks. It retains its flexibility as it dries, without shrinking. This allows the repair to move as the wall moves, leaving a seamless repair that will not reopen like other fillers or putties.

KRACK KOTE can be used on drywall, plaster, stucco, wood, concrete, and cement block.  It cleans up easily with soap and water.  The KRACK KOTE Crack Repair Kit contains:

  • KRACK KOTE emulsion:  1 fluid pint
  • KRACK BRIDGE fabric:  20 feet
  • Spreader
  • Instructions and tips* (English, French, and Spanish)

* Special instructions included for cracks wider than 1/8″

The KRACK KOTE emulsion is also sold separately in 1-quart and 1-gallon sizes for larger projects.

  6. We have corner cracks in a dry wall vaulted ceiling. They are approximately 1/4" wide, and they run mostly along the corner. Does the following process sound correct: 1) Trowel standard joint compound into the crack with a winged tool. Would an elastomeric compound be better than a standard joint compound? 2) Allow to dry 24 hours and sand lightly. 3) Paint the Krack Kote into the corner. 4) Fold the 4" mesh cloth and apply it into the corner. Does 4" sound better than 2" for a corner crack? 5) Apply a second coat of Krack Kote. 6) Paint

    1. Fill crack with joint compound or spackle. Do not use a flexible product to fill crack.
    2. All filler to dry and sand smooth
    3. Apply Krack Kote as described in directions
    4. Apply Krack Kote fabric over Krack Kote. The width of the fabric is not of important significance.  Smooth and allow to dry.
    5. Apply Krack Kote a second time and smooth.
    6. Paint when dry.

Ive used this product for many many years – it work great – I use it with a mesh tape instead of the one supplied and then after it drys coat it with a layer of joint compound and then sand or use a wet sponge to smooth out. The cracks will never come back – super product

  2. Bill Prout

I used Krack Kote back in 2009 before I repainted my daughter’s room. The walls are the original wood lath and plaster from the early 20th century, and had 8 or 10 good sized cracks, each being several feet long. I had never heard of or used this product before, but following the directions was very simple and the results have been outstanding. It’s now 2021 and there are no signs of the cracks that I had covered to this day. I’m now ordering another kit to do a different area of my house as the results were so impressive and it will allow us to retain the superior quality and durability of plaster wall construction.

I have used KRACK KOTE to repair cracks in plaster walls and ceiliings for many years,(over 20) with excellent results. I’ve repaired walls and ceiliings in apartments as well as in my home. Following the directions I have never had a separation of the fabric from the surface. Properly installed it makes a 99% invisible repair. I am a very satisfied customer.

  4. Ron Polacek

I used Krack Coat before I painted the walls in my Victorian home. Well some of the Kracks are back. But … it covered the cracks for almost 39 years. I think I got my moneys worth.
Yes, I will be using Krack Coat again for all of my new restoration projects

  5. Sandra Nickel

We own a small real estate company that specializes in the sale of older and historic homes. Needless to say, plaster cracks are huge (pardon the pun) in our business. We’ve been recommending Krack Kote for 25 years and every last customer is a fan. So glad Abatron bought this product and brought it back!

  6. Diane

I originally bought this at Sears years ago and repaired my plaster ceiling in my home I have a rental but I want to use it on . It’s still intact at my home after 15 years! Great stuff!!
